TRUCKEE, CA - Truckee police have arrested a man in a case involving financial elder abuse, theft and fraud.
48-year-old Richard Copeland is accused of multiple counts of check fraud, forgery, theft, burglary and financial-related elder abuse. Police believe Copeland had been stealing money and other items from his family members for several months.
Copeland was booked into Nevada County Jail on multiple felony counts related to theft, burglary and financial elder abuse. His bail is $25,000.
