Tour Guides Needed at Nevada State Museum

RENO – The Nevada State Museum is looking for volunteers to be tour guides.

The free training will take place September 11, 12, 18 and 19. The sessions run from 9am – 3:30pm each day. Volunteers will get the education they need to host their own tours.

Training topics include Nevada history, Native American culture, the Jewish faith in Nevada, Ichthyosaurs and storytelling skills. There are also lessons on geology, plants, animals and habitat of Northern Nevada.

Volunteers must be 15 years old. No prior experience is needed and training materials are free. To register, contact Deborah Stevenson at (775) 687-4810, ext. 237 or dstevenson@nevadaculture.org.
