RENO, NV - July 1 marked the beginning of Bear Logic Month in Nevada and the Nevada Department of Wildlife has been busy already.

NDOW has captured the third bear since the first of the month, this time a black bear in southwest Reno in the Caughlin Ranch area.

NDOW tells KOLO 8 News Now that the three-year-old bear made multiple visits to a residence and knocked over trash cans. The bear was then able to make its way in the homeowner's garage.

NDOW set a trap and the bear was caught either late on July 2nd or early on the morning of July 3rd.

The 250-pound bear had never been captured before by NDOW.

The bear will be released back into the wild on July 4th.
