(Reno, NV) The Sand’s Regency’s 15th Annual EuroFest brings together free live entertainment, a wide variety of European cuisines and beer along with a multitude of craft fair booths to provide Reno with a fun-filled weekend celebration of culture for all ages.
EuroFest is open Friday, May 31 from 4pm to 10pm, Saturday, June 1 from 11am to 10pm and Sunday, June 2 from 11am to 6pm. It is free to attend the event.
This year the band called Brother hailing from Los Angeles via Australia joins headliners Young Dubliners to rock downtown Reno with Irish-flavored, danceable music on Friday and Saturday nights.
The Gruber Family Band and The Showcase Band are back again this year and will perform multiple sets on Saturday and Sunday.
Mario’s Portofino Ristorante Italiano, Great Basin Brewing and Z-Pies will have booths at this year’s event. Attendees will enjoy a smorgasbord of food from Germany, Spain, France and England to include Fish & Chips, a Sausage Plate with a choice of grilled bratwurst or knockwurst, Sauerkraut Balls, Braised Cabbage, Mediterranean Salad, Basque Chorizo Sandwich, Palachinka Crepe, Bee Sting Cake and Apple Strudel.
There will be no shortage of beverages to enjoy as well. New wines for 2013 include Brunel Cotes Du Rhone Blanc, DR Loosen Riesling, Tedeschi Valpolicella and Torres Gran Vina Solara. The selection of beers seems endless with offerings to include Peroni, Pilsner Urquell, Weihenstephaner, Bass Ale, Hoegaarden, Murphy’s Irish Stout and more.
A large tent outside in the parking lot at Sands Regency will be set up for EuroFest and will be able to accommodate seating for 500 EuroFest attendees.
The event’s craft fair will host over 40 vendors. Crafts will include handmade jewelry, quilts, blown glass, candles, BBQ sauce and more.
EuroFest, as always, is free to the public due in large part to the participation of local businesses sponsoring the event.
“This is the 15th year of EuroFest in Reno,” states Lisa Miolini, event coordinator, “and we’re excited for another great year of offering Reno fantastic, family-friendly entertainment while raising money for the Shriners Hospitals for Children.”
The Sands Regency is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Reno at 4th and Arlington.
