CARSON CITY, NV - A teenage boy suffers serious injuries after being struck by a car on Fairview Dr and Gordon St, according to an official with the Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP).
NHP officials say the 15-year-old boy was using the crosswalk to cross the street when Elvira Madera struck him with her car.
Careflight transported the boy to Renown Regional Medical Center, according to an official with NHP.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
NHP officials say the accident happened around 6:30 a.m. on Monday, October 14, 2013.
