CARSON CITY, NV - A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in Carson City, accused of stabbing a man Wednesday night.
Sheriff's investigators say about 9:30PM, the boy and an 18-year-old, originally thought to be younger, had a fight over a heroin deal at the corner of Colorado and Arizona Streets in south Carson City. Sheriff’s deputies and paramedics found the victim at a nearby home with a wound to the stomach. He was flown by Care Flight to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, but has since been released, as the wound was not as serious as first thought.
Witnesses helped deputies ID the suspect. He was tracked to a north Carson City address about 45 minutes after the stabbing. He and another teen were taken into custody after a traffic stop at the corner of Longridge and Northridge Drive.
Since he is a minor, the teen's name hasn't been released. He is charged with battery with a deadly weapon.
