RENO, NV - Reno police say the man suspected of driving the SUV that hit and killed a moped rider has been arrested in Texas.
Candido Aniceto-Trejo was taken into custody Wednesday by the Unites States Marshall’s Office in Irving, Texas. Aniceto-Trejo had been a person of interest in the fatal hit and run from July 7th, in which Eric Thomas was killed on McCarran near Northtowne Lane. The SUV hit Thomas' moped and carried him down the road until he was shaken loose. He died the next day.
The investigation led to police issuing an arrest warrant for Aniceto-Trejo, who was believed to have left town.
The SUV was also found in Texas.
