Strong Armed 7-11 Robber Arrested

A man suspected of robbing a 7-11 last week has been arrested.

According to Police, 38-year-old Joseph Smith was located and arrested by officers at his residence this morning. The arrest was made possible after Police received information leading to his identification after surveillance video of the crime was released.

Smith and one other suspect entered the 7-11 store at 690 E. 2nd St. on March 19th demanding money. They threatened to beat the store clerk if they didn't get it. They were given an unknown amount of money and then fled the store.

Smith is facing charges of Robbery and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery.
