SPARKS, NV - The weather couldn't have been better for Street Vibrations Spring Rally in Sparks.
The organizer estimates about 10,000 people walked through Victorian Square to check out the motorcycles, the food, and the live entertainment. He says the shooting at the Nugget during last fall's Street Vibrations did not affect people's willingness to come out this time around. Neither did a stabbing that happened at the Nugget's parking garage Friday night between two men who were just attending the event.
"No, it's not high on their priority. In terms of the people, we've had lots of families and we've had more bikers than we've ever had before. And like I said, a nice increase in vendors, so we've been blessed," said Randy Burke, event organizer.
This Spring, they had nearly 20 more vendors participate than last year. And in terms of turnout, the organizer says this is the best springtime Street Vibrations they've had in all five years.
