Sparks Residents Come Home to Burglary In Progress

SPARKS, NV - Two residents of a Sparks apartment come home and find two burglers inside. The two suspects run from the apartment. One of them is still on the loose.

Police say it happened around 1:11pm Thursday at 4005 Moorpark Ct #I360. Initial reports say the residents came home and found two suspects in their apartment. Both suspects ran from the residence on foot with property. The suspects were described as Black or Hispanic male juveniles with backpacks and dark clothing.

Police were able to immediately locate a 15 year old Hispanic male heading North from the apartment near El Rancho Drive. This suspect was in possession of stolen property from the residence. The residents positively identified the juvenile as one of the suspects involved, his backpack was located in some bushes nearby and was full of stolen property from the apartment. He was uncooperative in the investigation.

Sparks Police and Washoe County Sheriff's Officers set up a perimeter and began searching for the second suspect. They searched for several hours but the second suspect was not located. This suspect is described as a black or hispanic male juvenile, 14-17yrs of age with dark clothing and a backpack.
