MINDEN TAHOE AIRPORT, Nev. – A small plane landed on its belly at the Minden Tahoe Airport Tuesday.
According to Douglas County investigators, the Piper Camanche 400 was preparing to land when it came in contact with the ground and bounced. The plane then took off again, but quickly came down and bounced again. That impact caused the landing gear to fold up and the plane collapsed to the ground. It then slid off the runway.
The owner of the plane, 77 year old Alfred Asti, was the only occupant of the plane. He was not hurt in the incident.
