Soda Springs, Calif.--If you thought ski season was over, you were wrong. Boreal running their lifts today for the fourth annual 'Summer Shred'
From ten to two Saturday, experienced skiers and riders were invited to take the castle peak quad for access to one run with a full terrain park.
The top to bottom run was only about about 30 feet wide, but finding even that much snow is difficult.
"The day the mountain closes, we start pushing all the snow from all the areas into one massive pile and we just leave it. And then the day before we spread it out, turn it into a terrain park. Start setting some features and open it up for everybody to enjoy," said Jon Slaughter, Spokesman for Boreal Mountain Resort.
The resort would not say how many people took up Saturday's $25 promotion, but they did say they were selling a lot of season passes for next year.
