WASHOE COUNTY, NV - Six years after the murder of an elderly couple, investigators are looking to science and the public for assistance.
Albert and Joan Musalo were found shot in their Montreux home on March 28, six years ago. The couple was described as in their 70s, and without enemies.
Investigators said they have 'forensic evidence' that could tie a suspect to the murders if a suspect is found. Several years ago investigators interviewed a person of interest, but cleared him.
Sgt. Tom Green said he hopes scientific advances might also help investigators. "Even as recently as last month we were submitting items to the crime lab for additional processing," he said.
Green said the Musalo case is not a 'cold case.' He said, like all other unsolved cases, investigators continue to work on the case.
A 35-thousand dollar reward is also being offered in connection with the murders. Anyone with information is urged to call Secret Witness at 322-4900.
