RENO, NV - It's been one year this month since the Siena resort-hotel-casino re-opened under new ownership. The property was bought out of bankruptcy. Under the previous owner the Siena was in-debt and had its gaming license revoked.
Today, management says business is good. "It's nice to see a success story during these challenging times, and we're pretty proud of what we've accomplished," Siena director of business development Scott Short said.
Short said there are more people visiting the casino, but attracting more visitors to fill the hotel rooms is a priority.
Under the new owner, the property has been renovated and now features a contemporary style throughout. Rooms have also been re-done.
Short said restaurants have recently expanded hours, and there are plans for a new loft area to open.
