Surveillance Photos Released in Liquor Store Shooting

RENO, NV - Reno police have released surveillance photos of the person who shot at a liquor store employee after a theft early Sunday morning.

According to the Reno Police Department, four people walked into Town Liquor at 2640 S. Virginia around 1:00 a.m. One of the people picked out two bottles of alcohol, and the group fled the store without paying.

A store clerk followed them out of the store when one of them fired three shots from a handgun.

The clerk was not injured.

The thieves fled the area in a maroon mini-van.

The clerk says the shooter is an Hispanic male in his early 20s, 5'7"-5'-8", 190 to 210lbs, with a heavy build. He was wearing a black jacket, black pants, a grey baseball cap and a thick necklace.

The Reno Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying the thieves. Anyone who has information regarding this crime or the thieves should contact RPD at 334-2115 or Secret Witness at 322-4900. You can also text tips to 847411, keyword: SW. There is a $1500 reward for information leading to any arrests.
