CARSON CITY, NV - Carson City sheriff's detectives are looking into a shooting outside a Justice of the Peace's home Tuesday morning.
They say shortly before 4:30AM, Justice John Tatro reported hearing gunshots. When deputies got there, they found his front door had been shot twice. The bullets passed through the front door and out a rear window, hitting a back fence. Nobody was hurt.
Detectives have no suspects, and neither Tatro nor his neighbors report hearing or seeing anything else unusual. Detectives are looking into Tatro's work calendar to check into the possibility of someone who was scheduled to appear before him being involved.
There is extra security at Municipal Court and at other judges' homes as a result of the shooting.
