Shooting at Apartment Complex Injures Uninvolved Citizen

RENO, NV - Saturday morning, officers responded to reports of a shooting on Grove Street.

At the same time, there were several reports of a shooting in the parking lot of the Sierra Cedar Condominiums on Kietzke.

The occupants of a gold sedan and a black sport utility vehicle sped out of the parking lot chasing one another. The gold sedan ultimately crashed in the area of Roberts and Wells into Ritchie's Barbecue House. The driver and passenger of the gold sedan fled on foot.

An uninvolved resident, in the neighboring complex, Palace Apartments on Grove Street, was struck in the hand by a stray round. The bullet came through his apartment wall, while he was sitting on his couch watching television.

The occupants of the gold car are described as two males, possibly Caucasion, last seen wearing light colored sweatshirts and jeans.

The black SUV is still outstanding. It is described as a full size faded black sport utility vehicle with a broken out rear window.

Secret Witness is offering a reward of $1,000.00 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect(s) wanted in connection with the shooting .Anyone with information is urged to call Secret Witness at 322-4900.
