Fallon Standoff Over, Shooting Suspect Shot and Killed Himself

UPDATE 5:40PM:
Sheriff's officials say the SWAT team which was in a standoff with 56-year-old shooting suspect JB Williams entered the home and found him dead. It appears Williams shot and killed himself sometime after the standoff began.

Earlier in the day, Williams' 42-year-old girlfriend called police saying her boyfriend had shot her in the chin. Dispatchers told her to get out of the house. She was picked up on the side of the road and taken to a hospital in Reno.

FALLON, Nev. - Churchill County sheriff's deputies are investigating a shooting in Fallon and subsequent standoff at a home on Rice Road.

Sheriff Trotter says suspected shooter JB Williams shot his girlfriend in the face around noon Friday with a .22 Magnum. She called police and the dispatchers told her to get out of the house. She was picked up walking down the street from her home and flown to Renown in stable condition.

Deputies are still attempting to make contact with Williams at his home at 2120 Rice Road. They have secured the area and still believe he is inside.
