Deputies Investigating Carjacking and Sexual Assault in Reno

RENO, NV - Three people are on the loose after a woman reported being carjacked and sexually assaulted near Wedekind Road Sunday morning.

Washoe County Sheriffs arrived at the 3700 block of Wedekind Road around 8:50 a.m. in response to a Carjacking an Sexual Assault report. Deputies met with an adult female who claimed to have been driving on Wedekind Road between El Rancho and Sullivan around 8:30 a.m. when she was forced to stop by an oncoming car and threatened by gunpoint.

According to Sheriffs, the woman says there were three male suspects in the car, all of whom were wearing dark clothing, ski masks and gloves to hide their identity. The victim was taken out of her car at gunpoint and forced into the suspects' car. Two of them got in her car and parked it down the street at an unoccupied house. The third suspect drove their vehicle to the side of the house, where the sexual assault took place.

The suspect's car is described as a 1990's four-door sedan, dark green with tinted windows, grey cloth interior, stock rims and no license plates.

According to a witness, two male subjects on foot wearing dark clothing tried to stop her as she was driving by the same area at 5:00 a.m.
