FERNLEY, NV - A second man is charged with attempted murder for a shooting in Fernley early Sunday morning.

Around 4:15 AM, Lyon County Sheriff's deputies responded to reports of gunshots on the 900 block of Jessica Lane, at the Fox Peak convenience store. Deputies were notified of an Hispanic man slumped over the steering wheel of a car in the parking lot.

When they arrived, they found 32-year-old Rick Leon, bleeding from his chest and stomach from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Renown in Reno, where he underwent surgery and is still in stable condition.

Richard Page, 20, was identified as a possible suspect. He was arrested later the same day and charged with attempted murder. As the investigation progressed, detectives also arrested William Frias on the same charge.

Detectives say Leon was not shot where he was found; he was shot elsewhere and drove himself to the mini-mart for help. Detectives are still sorting out information about where specifically he was shot and what the circumstances were.

If you have any information on the shooting, contact the Lyon County Sheriff's Investigations Division at 577-5096 or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
