RENO, NV - The driver of a scooter is being treated for critical injuries after a crash Tuesday afternoon.
Police say about 1PM, the rider was headed north on Wells Avenue in a bicycle lane. The rider hit the passenger side of a pickup turning right onto Thoma Street. The rider was not wearing a helmet and was taken to a hospital.
Police say neither alcohol or speed appear to be factors, but they are investigating. Anyone with information in regards to this case is urged to contact the Reno Police Department Traffic Division at 334-2175 or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
