RENO, NV - Eleven saddle-trained horses and one burro are available for adoption on Saturday, August 3, 2013.
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the Nevada Department of Corrections invite members of the public to a horse adoption event during the Western States Wild Horse and Burro Expo at the Douglas County Fairgrounds o in Gardnerville.
Horses from Nevada, California, and Idaho are available for adoption beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, according to the BLM.
The eleven horses and burro range in age from one-to five-years old, according to the BLM.
The animals are saddle-trained with 120 days of training and vary in weight and color, according to the BLM.
The starting bid on all animals is $150.
