SPARKS, NV - A Fernley man is being treated for minor injuries after a crash on Interstate 80 Friday morning.
Highway Patrol troopers say shortly before 8am, the man was traveling west on Interstate 80 approaching the Vista Boulevard overpass, when he allowed his Toyota Tacoma pickup to veer toward the left or inside shoulder of the freeway. He hit a metal reflector post and overcorrected the pickup’s steering to the right, skidding across both westbound lanes and rolling, before resting in the center of the Vista westbound onramp. No other vehicles were involved.
Sparks Fire Department crews extricated him from the truck. Troopers say he was wearing a belt.
The crash is still being investigated.
