UPDATE, 4pm:
RENO, Nev. -- A Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) sergeant tells KOLO 8 News Now the vehicle involved in the rollover accident that shut down Interstate 80 Saturday was a rental car, a 2011 Nissan 4-door.

The driver and passenger were a mother and daughter. The mother was driving. It is early in the investigation, but officials say the driver likely drifted off the road to the left and over-corrected to the right, causing the car to flip. It rolled a number of times, hitting a culvert along the way.

A Care Flight crew landed on the freeway and took the mother to the hospital. As of 4pm, her injuries were listed as moderate.

A ground ambulance crew took the daughter to the hospital. The NHP did not have an update on her condition. The daughter is listed as living in Sacramento; no word on where the mother lived.
