RENO, NV - A man will be arrested after being treated in a hospital for injuries sustained in a bizarre road rage crash.
Around 10AM Monday, police were called to the crash at Plaza and Lake Streets. Witnesses told them 69-year-old Randolph Rothman had pointed a handgun at a vehicle while in traffic, then rammed his car into the other car.
Police say when the victims stopped, Rothman got out of his car and walked toward the other car, but he left his car in reverse. It rolled backward and ran over his leg before hitting a wall.
Police say he tried to get away, but was stopped by officers, who say he had a .380 caliber handgun in his pants pocket. He is being treated for moderate injuries, and will be arrested for battery with a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon, and carrying a concealed weapon without a permit.
