RENO, NV - An act of misplacement and social networking left a Reno school in code yellow lockdown and locals panicked.

It happened Thursday morning at the school at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church in northwest Reno.

According to police, somebody found a magazine from a weapon in a bag in a building on campus. There was a brief code yellow lockdown, police investigated and found it had been accidentally dropped by someone licensed to carry a weapon. Then police left.

However, thanks to social networking and its power, the story is not over.

A little while later, someone picked up on this story and the rumor mill began, via online and mobile sources, that someone was walking around with a gun in the school. So police went back and found nothing, then left.
