Reno Resident Tackles Intruder

RENO, NV - A Reno resident tackled an intruder, and held the burglar until police arrived.

Jordan Taylor said he, his girlfriend and his sister came home from dinner Sunday to find someone in their Scottsdale Road home.

"I hear (my sister) scream and the guy's behind her running and pushes her out of the way," Jordan said.

Jordan said he slammed the man into a fence, then tackled him outside. "I hit him, I attended self-defense myself and attacked him, put him down on the ground," Jordan said. He said that's when police arrived.

Police are not identifying the person arrested. Investigators said they believe the suspect was not working alone. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Reno Police Department.

The Taylor's showed a green backpack left behind. Jordan's sister, Savanna, said a gun was taken from the home.
