RENO, NV - Things have quieted down in a Reno neighborhood after a police standoff early Thursday morning.

Reno police say it all started around midnight when several people called police, complaining that a man was destroying property and trying to break into apartments near Peckham Lane and Neil Road.

When police got there, they say they found a man up on a roof destroying a chimney and throwing bricks down into the parking lot.
The man appeared to be heavily under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Police spent three and a half hours trying to talk the man off the roof.
He finally came down, using a Reno fire ladder.

Police say the man, 29 year-old Alfredo Manriquez, was taken to a hospital and treated for hypothermia and intoxication. Later, he'll be booked on two counts of home invasion, three counts of burglarious intent, and two counts of destruction of property.

Manriquez has a history with police. He was arrested in November and charged with lane changing, driving without a valid driver's license, possession of Meth, possession of Meth with intent to sell, and trafficking heroin.
