RENO, Nev. (AP) - Reno-Tahoe International Airport has been
awarded a $1.6 million federal grant to repave a taxiway on the
south end of the airport.
The grant was announced Tuesday by U.S. Sen. Harry Reid.
Reid says the taxiway has reached the end of its useful life,
and the reconstruction will ensure smooth transport of planes from
the runways to airline gates.
The airport recently was awarded a separate $3.5 million grant
to replace pavement in aircraft parking areas that include four
airline gates on two concourses.
