Missing Endangered Woman Found Dead in Car

UPDATE: Virginia Walton was discovered dead in her car by Washoe County Sheriff's Office officials, according to an official with the Reno PD.

Walton was found on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 around 11:25 a.m. in the Red Rock/Rancho Haven area, according to an official with the Reno PD.

Officials do not suspect foul play at this time.

RENO, NV - The Reno Police Department is asking for the public's assistance to help to locate a missing endangered woman.

On October 14, 2013, Virginia Walton found a set of car keys and drove away from her home, according to an official with the Reno PD.

The 92-year-old suffers from dementia and other medical problems and may need medical attention, according to an official with the Reno PD.

Officials believe Walton may be attempting to drive to Lodi, Ca in order to visit her friends.

Virginia Walton is described as being a 92-year-old white female who is 5 feet tall and weighs 140 pounds. Walton also has grey hair, blue eyes and wears glasses, according to an official with the Reno Police Department,.

Officials say she is driving a red, four-door 2001 Toyota Corolla. The license plates read NV 970RUW.
