RENO, NV - Reno police are investigating an overnight shooting that sent one woman to a hospital.
Around 1:45 Wednesday morning, 911 calls came in about a fight with four people involved in the area of Maddox and Ranchita Way.
Just a minute later, someone reported a fight with shots fired. While Reno police were responding, an officer was flagged down by a woman near Highway I-580 and Moana. The officer discovered she had been hit by a bird shot in the forehead and hand. She was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The officer says the car that drove from the scene may have damage from hitting cones and barrels in the construction zone in the area.
Police are interviewing witnesses and gathering more information,
