RENO, Nev. (AP) - Better think twice before messing with Reno Police Chief Steven Pitts.

Pitts was upgraded to a black belt in jiu-jitsu during a ceremony Saturday at a Reno academy.

Pitts says that he has been practicing martial arts since he was young and he studies Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He says jiu-jitsu now is a way to blow off steam from his job pressures.
