WASHOE COUNTY -- Reno firefighters are stripping down for a good cause. RFD men and women are posing for a new calendar benefiting the JUSTin HOPE Foundation.
"I was totally out of my comfort zone but I knew it was for a good cause I was flattered they asked me and I said: 'ok let's do it,'" firefighter Pamela Stahl said.
The foundation was started by Art and Carol Reitz. Their son, Justin, has autism. Art is a firefighter.
"We wanted to help families," Art said. He said his family knows first-hand what it's like for a family to be impacted by autism.
Sales of the calendar will provide medical equipment, supplies and whatever else makes a meaningful impact on families affected by autism and other neuro-developmental disorders.
The calendar may be purchased online. Go to Hot Topics for a link.
