RENO, Nev.-- RTC bus drivers won't be going on strike... at least for now. The RTC drivers are actually employed by a company called MV Transportation.
Talks between the drivers' union and MV Transportation appeared to break down last week. Workers say an agreement not to strike -- and for MV Transportation not to lock out workers -- was set to end Friday at 11:59pm.
Drivers were considering going on strike as early as Saturday, but a labor representative says they reached a late-night deal.
The agreement still needs to be ratified by members of the union. Union members say time off was the central issue during negotiations.
