SPARKS, Nev. (AP) - The Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Center is changing its promotional slogan for the third time in three years.
The new one formally unveiled on Wednesday is: "All seasons, a thousand reasons."
RSCVA CEO Chris Baum announced the change at the Governor's Conference on Tourism at John Ascuaga's Nugget in Sparks.
It replaces "Far From Expected," which had replaced the original slogan adopted in 2009: "A Little West of Center."
That one was roundly criticized by Reno Mayor Bob Cashell and others.
Baum says the new slogan allows for a fresh approach to promoting Reno-Tahoe. He told the Reno Gazette-Journal he thinks it captures the energy and excitement of the region. He says he hopes it will make some people curious about a place they may had never thought about visiting.
