Over 50 drivers were stopped today as the Reno Police Department conducted another pedestrian crosswalk sting.
Drivers were pulled over for failing to yield the right of way to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. 40 tickets were handed out, while 11 people received warnings. Some were also ticketed for using their cell phone while driving.
The operation took place at Wells Av. and Vesta St., Sutro St. and Carville Dr. and West Third and North Sierra St.
Reno Police conducted a similar operation downtown two weeks ago, in which over 100 cars were pulled over.
The enforcement was made possible through a grant from the Office of Traffic and Safety.
