RENO, Nev. -- A crash involving a Reno police cruiser and a pickup truck sent three people to a hospital Saturday night.
The Nevada Highway Patrol was called in to investigate the crash. Trooper Mike Edgell says the officer was headed north on Locust with his lights and siren on. He approached the intersection at Ryland at the same time as the pickup.
The two vehicles collided in the intersection. The cruiser hit the side of the truck, flipping it on to its roof. The impact also spun the cruiser around 180 degrees. Both people in the truck and the officer were transported for treatment. All of their injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
