INCLINE VILLAGE, NV - A bear Nevada wildlife officials say was responsible for tearing the siding off a house in Incline Village has been captured and killed.
A trap was set to capture the bear over Presidents' Day weekend, but it trapped the wrong bear, which was then released.
NDOW's Chris Healy tells KOLO 8 News Now someone in the neighborhood called to say the problem bear was back... the one for which wildlife officials had been looking.
The 4-year-old 250-pound male had been getting into garbage and a warden says it broke into a home.
Healy says because it was not afraid of people, the bear had become a danger to people in the neighborhood.
It was captured Wednesday, tranquilized, driven to Reno and euthanized.
