RENO, NV - NV Energy says most customers have power back after outages in Spanish Springs, Washoe Valley and the Golden Valley/Stead area.
Power went out shortly after 3PM Monday, and crews believe lightning hitting a power pole in Lemmon Valley was the cause of the outage in the north valleys.
Lightning was also believed to be connected to about 4000 customers being without power in Spanish Springs. That outage started about 4PM.
About 130 customers also lost power because of an outage in Washoe Valley, also believed to be connected to weather. Power has since been restored.
