Police Investigate Reno Shooting

RENO, NV - Reno police are investigating a shooting at Yori and Linden in Reno.

Police say around 4:15 Wednesday afternoon, two men who had arranged to meet got into a fight. The shooter, whom witnesses say was not part of the argument, then displayed a handgun and shot the victim in the leg before running off.

The suspect is described as a black man, 30-40 years old, 5'-11" to 6'-2", 220-240lbs, with short close-cut hair. He was wearing a red and white checkered shirt and blue jeans.

The victim, a 27-year-old Reno resident, was driven to Renown by a friend. Police say his injury is not expected to be life-threatening.

Investigators were told there were several other witnesses, but none have come forward. Detectives would like to speak to anyone who may have been present at the time of the shooting or have additional information.
