Police Identify Drivers Involved in Monday's Road Rage Shooting

SPARKS, NV - The Sparks Police Department has identified the two drivers involved in Monday's road rage incident that led to one man being shot.

Devin Larry Churchill, 46, was shot in the chest Monday morning when he stepped out of his Mustang to confront the driver of an SUV that according to police was tailgating behind him.

The alleged shooter, 40-year-old Kristian Francis Rodgers of Fernley,
and the victim were stopped at a red-light just off the Vista Blvd exit on I-80 around 9 a.m. According to police, Churchill got out of his car to confront Rodgers when he was shot.

Detectives are hoping to identify the driver of an 18-wheel truck that might have been a witness to the incident.

Any witnesses to any part of the road rage or shooting incidents are encouraged to contact Sparks P.D.

The shooting closed I-80 westbound exit at Vista Blvd for about four hours Monday.
