Police: House Burglar Found by K9, Arrested

One man is in custody after burglarizing a home and attempting to hide from police Saturday afternoon.

According to Reno Police, 47-year-old Donald Luna was being chased by a homeowner when officers responded to the 3200 block of Everett Drive just before 1:00 p.m.

After leaving the residential area, Luna ran eastbound along I-80. Police formed a perimeter, and with the help of the Washoe County K9 unit, were able to find Luna hiding in a drainage ditch under the freeway.

Luna was found with the stolen property. He was arrested for Residential Burglary, Possession of Stolen Property and Possession of a Dangerous Drug without a Prescription.
