RENO, Nev. (AP) - Police say they uncovered a check forgery and fake ID lab inside a Reno apartment complex as part of a check fraud investigation that led to two arrests.
Reno police say they arrested 31-year-old Gavin Kielty and 30-year-old Landon Mark Jones on Thursday on charges of possessing a financial forgery lab and identity theft.
Bail for both the charges totals $30,000.
Authorities say they responded to complaints about people passing phony checks in Reno-area casinos. They found in the apartment the supplies to made bad checks and fake IDs.
Police also say they found what appears to be stolen mail. The U.S. Postal Inspector is helping in the investigation.
