RENO, NV - Reno police have arrested a suspect in a string of recent crimes.

They say 36-year-old Justin Michael Bennett was caught in the act Monday night, shooting randomly in the 1400 block of E. 4th Street and fleeing in his car.

A routine traffic stop a short while later found Bennett in possession of a handgun.

Police believe Bennett's shooting on 4th Monday night was just the tail-end of a crime spree that began Christmas Eve.

Police believe Bennett is also responsible for a drive-by shooting at the Sparks Police department on Saturday, and a fire and shooting at a post office in Verdi on Sunday.

His crime spree did not end there.

According to police, Bennett is also suspected of leaving a threatening note and ammunition with an employee at the Wild Orchid, shooting several times into the parking lot of Fantasy Girls, and breaking into the Spice House on Sunday.

Bennett will be booked on $50,000 bail.

Police are looking for a second vehicle caught on video surveillance from the Sparks Police Department shooting. It is described as a larger pickup truck or SUV, possibly with four doors. The vehicle has two-tone paint, with a light color on the upper portion of the vehicle and a darker color on the lower portion.
