RENO, NV - Reno police say a woman who was carjacked and beaten up Monday, now has her car back.
Police say 35-year-old James Napier made friends with the woman, and agreed to help her move to a new apartment. When they arrived near Jones and Washington Streets, Napier allegedly pulled out a knife.
The woman got out of the car, and jumped onto the hood to keep him from getting away. Napier got out, attacked her, and drove off.
Around 12:30 Tuesday morning, Washoe County Deputies found the car near the intersection of Airway and McCarran, along with Napier, who was drunk.
He was arrested and charged with Robbery with the Use of a Deadly Weapon/ADW/ False Imprisonment/Grand Larceny of a Motor Vehicle/Simple Battery. Additionally the Sheriff's office arrested him for DUI.
