RENO, NV - A man is arrested by Reno police and the FBI in connection with a bank robbery that happened at the Bank of America in northwest Reno.
On Monday, February 3, 2014, around 2:10 p.m., the suspect, Matthew Oliver, 41, walked into the Bank of America on 4998 W. 7th St in Reno, according to Reno police.
Police say when it was his turn, Oliver approached the teller window and displayed a handgun; he then robbed the teller of an undisclosed amount of money.
It was later determined that the handgun was a toy gun with a realistic appearance.
Within minutes of the robbery, Oliver was found and arrested by a Reno patrol officer, according to Reno police.
Police say the FBI has since assumed the investigation and will take Oliver into federal custody.
