SPARKS, NV - Police say there was nothing explosive or harmful in a suspicious package at Sparks High School.
Police say the package was sent to the school with no return address from the Vassar Street post office, and it was delivered to the school's office, which received it Thursday. The package raised concern among school staff, and a bomb squad helped police investigate.
While police determined it wasn't harmful, they declined to release information about what was in it, saying they still want to know who sent it.
15th Street was closed at Prater Way during the investigation. The school was cleared of the few people still at the school late in the afternoon when the package was discovered.
