RENO, NV - Reno police have arrested the man they think shot a golfer Thursday afternoon at Lakeridge Golf Course.
The golfer was one of two playing the 16th hole when he was hit around 3:30PM, and he was treated and released from a hospital for minor wounds.
Police believe one of the golfers accidentally hit 53-year-old Jeff Fleming's house on Wycliffe Circle with a golf ball, leading Fleming to fire a shotgun at the men. He then drove to an attorney's office, and was arrested shortly after. Police had a SWAT team at the scene for part of the afternoon before they realized Fleming was gone.
He is charged with assault with a deadly weapon and battery with a deadly weapon, and is facing $40,000 bail.
