Police Arrest Suspect in Killing of Homeless Man

RENO, NV - Reno police have arrested a man they think shot a homeless man to death in September.

September 26th about 6:30PM, police responded to the report of a man with a medical issue in the 100 Block of W. 4th Street. He died on scene, and the autopsy the next day revealed he had been shot with a .22-caliber gun.

Police determined 57-year-old Michael Andersen had been shot where he was found, and they launched a homicide investigation.

Based on evidence, they have now arrested 25-year-old Michael Albrecht on an open murder charge. But they would still like to talk to any possible witnesses.
