RENO, NV - A new truck stop in west Reno is one step closer to reality, now that the Reno Planning Commission has said okay.

If the Reno City Council also says okay, the truck stop will replace the one that was next to the Boomtown casino along Interstate 80 in Verdi until Cabela's was built.

The Pilot Flying J Truck Stop would have slot machines and a McDonald's as part of the plan.

Up to 100 construction workers would be hired for the project.

The Planning Commission approved the project at its meeting Wednesday night.
